Consultation has concluded

The Otago and Southland Regional Transport Committees have been working together on the draft Otago Southland Regional Land Transport Plans 2021-2031.

The two regions have combined their plans into a single document, which proposes both strategy and investment for the two regions’ transport networks.

The plan outlines proposed transport network improvements for the next six years, and forms the application for funding from the National Land Transport Fund for the next three years.

Environment Southland councillors adopted the plan at a council meeting on 30 June 2021. Subsequently the plan was submitted to Waka Kotahi so projects can be considered for funding assistance from the National Land Transport Fund.
