The Regional Forum has developed a set of questions that will help them decide which methods to recommend as part of their advice to Environment Southland and Te Ao Marama Inc.
The Regional Forum is a community based group tasked with putting a package of advice together on ways to manage water to achieve our community’s aspirations for water.
Regional Forum chair Fiona Smith says there is now an opportunity to give the forum some feedback.
"We’re now getting into the more ‘meaty’ part of our work. We’re starting to consider the options available to achieve the community’s values and freshwater outcomes – and we need your thoughts on how we decide what gets recommended.”
The Regional Forum’s advice to Council and Te Ao Marama is important as it will be used to inform a plan change to the proposed Southland Water and Land Plan, which will give effect to the National Policy Statement on Freshwater Management.
Please take the time to complete the survey and provide your feedback. The survey has now closed.
