2021 Environment Southland Community Awards

Who are the environmental champions in your community?

Every year, we know that many community groups, schools, businesses and farmers are taking action to make a significant difference to our environment. Environment Southland wants to recognise and reward those unsung heroes in our community that are taking a leading role in the environmental space.

You can nominate yourself or someone else/a group/business/farm/school that you're involved with or know about whose activities are benefiting the environment. If you are putting forward someone else, you must confirm they agree to be nominated.

NOMINATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED.

Nominees will receive a follow-up call to confirm receipt of the nomination and to discuss the process for judging. Judges will make site visits at a pre-arranged time between 16 August and 22 September to meet nominees and assess projects and actions. Note: due to Covid-19 the awards judging has been delayed.

PRIZES & AWARDS CEREMONY
The winning entries will receive prizes courtesy of our sponsors that include cash and vouchers.

All nominees will be invited to attend the awards dinner to be held on Friday 29 October at the Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill, where the winners will be announced.
